How to Refer a Patient for Workers' Comp Acupuncture
Referring a client or patient for acupuncture shouldn't create work for your office. Here's our entire process, start to finish — what to send, what happens next, and what your office can expect at every step. The referral itself takes under a minute.
Step 1 — Send us the referral (pick whichever is fastest)
- Online (fastest for staff): workwellacu.com/refer — five quick fields, and the page writes the referral email for you. Nothing is stored on the page; it goes straight from your email to ours.
- Email: info@workwellacu.com
- Phone or text: (310) 356-9963
What to include: patient name and phone, preferred language (English/Spanish), case type (workers' comp or personal injury), the injury in a phrase, and your office's name and best contact. Claim details can follow later — don't let a missing claim number delay the referral.
Step 2 — We confirm with your office the same day
You'll hear back from us the same business day: referral received, and patient contacted (or being contacted). Your staff never has to call to ask whether the referral landed.
Step 3 — We handle authorization and scheduling
For workers' comp cases, we prepare the treatment plan, submit the Request for Authorization, and manage the utilization review process. For personal injury cases, we coordinate with your office on the case arrangement. Patients are typically seen within days — and treated fully in English or Spanish, which keeps them engaged and attending.
Step 4 — Your office receives documentation, not phone tag
PR-2 progress reports on schedule, records when you request them, and proactive notice if anything on the case needs attention. We also actively confirm every appointment and follow up on missed visits, so your client completes their full authorized course — better outcomes, cleaner records. The clinic is at 2809 Tweedy Blvd in South Gate, with free on-site parking — minutes from Huntington Park, Downey, Lynwood, Bell Gardens, and Compton. Van Nuys and Beverly Hills locations are coming soon.
